The Classic HERMANN Bear with inserted snout
Design Explanation

The "Bear with inserted snout" is a type of model developed by Max Hermannin the 1920s. For this model, the snout consists of a shorter-pile plushthan the bear itself. It is cut separately and sewn onto the bear's headpart. With this model variant, Max Hermann's Teddy Bears became known andfamous. Like hardly any other bear design, the "Bear with the inserted snout"is linked to the name HERMANN and has written history. Still today this designis the preferred Teddy Bear model in our company.

Dralon plush
A little material science

Dralon plushes came onto the market in the mid-1950s. They replaced the theninexpensive artificial silk and expensive mohair as Teddy Bear plush. Dralonplushes were the first plushes made from pure acrylic fiber. They were softerand more densely woven than the mohair plushes of the time, but - in contrastto artificial silk - had similar properties to mohair. They were easy towash and were ideal for making soft cuddly toys filled with foam rubber flakes, which became fashionable at the time as the first fully washable cuddly toys. The heyday of Dralon plush toys was the 1960s. Today, pure Dralon plush isno longer used in plush toy production, mainly because of its high price.Teddy bears made from original old Dralon plush are now a particular rarityand a reminiscence of the great times of the 1960s.
