Commemorative Bear for the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall

The events on the evening of November 9, 1989 are undoubtedly one of the happiest moments in the 75-year history of the Federal Republic of Germany. At 6:57 p.m., SED Secretary Günter Schabowski announced at an international press conference that all citizens of the GDR would be granted immediate freedom of travel. At 8:00 p.m., millions of Germans sat spellbound in front of the television and heard the first news item on the Tagesschau: "GDR opens border." At 11:30 p.m., a border guard opened the first barrier at the Bornholmer Strasse border crossing in Berlin without a clear order. The border could no longer be held. At midnight, all of the city's borders were open. In the euphoria of that night, thousands of Berliners from East and West climbed the wall and celebrated together under the Brandenburg Gate the "Fall of the Berlin Wall," which had been a symbol of the division of Germany for 28 years. People from East and West embraced each other and the images went around the world. The events of November 9, 1989 will remain forever unforgettable for many contemporary witnesses, even today, 35 years later.

Teddy Bears stuffed with excelsior - a true treasure

Teddy Bears stuffed with excelsior belong to the rarity treasure of the Teddy Bear world and are only rarely offered on the collector's market today. What used to be the daily work of the Teddy Bear makers in former times, has become a valuable and rare treasure today. Worldwide there are only a handful of experts who are still familiar with the traditonal art of excelsior stuffing. Years of training, muscle strength and an artistic sense for styling are necessary to carry out this very time-consuming work. Only very old and long-standing manufactures have still the knowledge today, how Teddy Bears can be stuffed with excelsior according to old example, so that nowadays excelsior stuffed Teddy Bears are hardly to find.

For more than 100 years, we have cultivated the tradition of stuffing our Teddy Bears with excelsior and we have preserved for us this knowledge untill today. This gives our Teddy Bears their exceptional value and makes them to uncomparable and unique creatures with value-preserving character.
